We had the pleasure of working with Allison for well over a year on her wedding! She started planning early…. But with the help of wedding planners Jenna and Jen of Celebrate, LLC how hard could it be?! Like all weddings we ran into a gliche or two along the way… but that’s why we’re professionals and smooth it all out. The day was perfect, overcast to keep away the heat and without blemish from Florida rain. Congratulations Allison and Corey!

We truly love each and every bride we get the opportunity to work with… I love how no one person is the same, that there are always new people coming into our lives. People whose lives we touch with flowers, at statement at every wedding, a memory. We’ll I say all of that to say that Christine truly was by far the sweetest most adorable bride we’ve had the pleasure to work with thus far. She came to us by way of her sister Charmaine who wanted to give Christine the gift of flowers for her wedding. So we created a special gift certificate that was presented to Christine that told her to planout her heart’s desire with flowers for her special day!! The wedding took place at The Daytona Beach Resort and Conference Center. A beatuiful beach wedding was created with a gorgeous bamboo arbor just behind the hotel. Honest to God… the day could not have been more perfect! Not too hot, not too cool.. I’ll have you know the following day it rained like crazy in Daytona. I honestly cannot believe her wedding is over, we were in contact weekly for months leading up to it, and now it’s done. If bride’s only knew how fast the time flys… Especially for us. Thank you so much Charmaine for bringing your sister Christine to us. She will always be a special bride to us

It is always such a joy and reward for us to be able to create a beautiful and breath-taking event for each and every bride, but this wedding happened to be near and dear to our hearts… Sean has been one of our best friends for over 10 years, we pretty much grew up together, our families became very close. So when Sean met Ashlee over 3 years ago and introduced her to us we knew there was a wedding brewing. They are absolutely perfect for each other, and for any woman that can handle Sean, you know she’s in for the long haul!! So we made Saturday an early morning, bringing a change of clothes, because we just had to witness this momentous occasion!! We sat back in disbelief that Sean was actually finally getting hitched. But you could see the love in his eyes for Ashlee, he never took his eyes off of her. The ceremony was beautiful outdoors at The Hilton Hotel here in Daytona and the reception was jammin!! Then off they went for a 7 day cruise to the Caribbean! JEALOUS! Congratulations guys, we love you!!

Busy Weekend Coming up!

This week has been filled with labor intense hours! We’re getting ready for a beautiful mock set-up for a bride who’s getting married in October tomorrow at the studio. Stay tuned for the pics… Then we have a beautiful wedding to set up for on Saturday, the couple is actually near and dear to our hearts. Our best friends are getting married All that, then running head first into next week with 2 more weddings to create. We also had the pleasure of meeting one of the owners of newly established “Festivities” yesterday afternoon. They are a wedding and event planning and decor company here in the Daytona area. I look forward to being able to colaberate together!!

Open House @ Chapel in the Garden 2.27.10

Yesterday, we had the wonderful opportunity to showcase our designs to newly engaged couples at Chapel and Tavern in the Garden’s Open House. Although the weather was cold and wet… that didn’t keep the bride’s to be away!! I love how intimate the open houses are in the Tavern, with one vendor per category in the wedding industry. It allows more individualized time with each couple. I truly enjoyed meeting everyone who came yesterday! The food was excellent which was provided by Chef Papas and dessert was scrumptious which was provided by The Pastry Studio. I ate the most wonderful and moist red velvet cupcake with cream cheese icing!! Oh my gosh is all I can say, you’ll have to call up Sherri yourself to taste it. We were jammin with great music provided by DJ Man, the owner himself Joe. Always a great entertainer! I look forward to meeting with each of you brides! Every year during the week of Valentine’s Day Nascar graces us with its presence here in Daytona. Thousands upon thousands of loyal fans show up in attendance rain or shine, frozen or warm… That also brings the corporate crowd along too. We had the wonderful opportunity to be a part of Verizon Wireless’ event for it’s business professionals at The Plaza Resort and Spa on Saturday. Working alongside Event’s by Design at Mortez Fabric, we put together a classy and elegant event for the group’s formal dinner. As well as providing beautiful florals for breakfast for the group every morning they were here. It was a great opportunity and we really appreciated Lynda at Event’s by Design being a part of it with us.

What an honor it truly is to be named as one of the “Best of” wedding winners for 2010 in The Knot magazine. Only five florists were chosen within the Central Florida area to receive such an award, and we were one of them!!! WPVC “Best of the Best” Bridal Affair January 2010

So the show has come and gone and I am just now taking the time to blog about it. But….. better late than never! It went off without a hitch, after months and months of planning on the groups part; Sunday January 10th was a major success! Thank you to all of the brides who took the time to come meet all of the businesses a part of the Wedding Profressionals of Volusia County. It was held at Pelican Bay Country Club in South Daytona, and they were gracious enough to allow us to completely transform the space with floor to ceiling pipe and drape! We brought in elegant lighting provided by Mister DJ Entertainment and Special Event Services. We even had an awesome ice sculpture!! It was gorgeous and the compliments were endless. It definitely is by far the best bridal show to hit Daytona..and it was only the beginning because we plan to top oursleves next year! Above you see shots of our booth presentation. I am a huge fan of black, silver and yellow. There is such an elegance with the warmth of the yellows and ivorys used in the florals and the black and sliver lend it to be very clean and up-to-date! I had such a great time and I cannot wait to do it again next year.

Lauren & Curt 11.14.09

Things have been crazy lately with all the weddings and the Thanksgiving holiday… I can finally now get back to some of our bloging!!

Lauren is the only bride I’ve seen thus far out there working right along side of me while setting up the wedding reception at Chapel and Tavern in the Garden in Port Orange. But hey.. it’s always been said, if you want something done right, do it yourself! It was a really beautiful day, I started Lauren and Curt’s wedding first thing in the morning; I had 3 hours worth of on-site designing and set-up that I had to accomplish. The rustic look and feel of the Tavern was a perfect canvas for the navy and platinum satin linens, all of which decorated elegantly with all white flowers! I love the look of all white flowers up against dark colors, it’s a truely beautiful contrast. How much more perfect can you get when using hydrangea, roses, dendrobium orchis and full size calla lilys?!?! Congratulations you guys!
